Livery Cab Drive Shot in Queens

Did you hear the news. A Livery cab driver was shot and killed in Long Island City late Friday night. The police are searching for two men were seen leaving the scene, and who the cops believe are the ones doing the shooting.

It was around 11:30pm when police responded to a call about a man being shot. When they arrived, they found the man shot while in his car. Unfortunately, they could not save the man.

In the past year, there have been several Livery drivers shot and/or killed while doing their jobs. I wonder if it is a gang-related shooting. Maybe someone doesn't like Livery cab drivers, resulting in them getting shot and/or killed. Whatever the reason, something has to be done to stop this insanity. I believe there should be a cop or plain clothes police officer assigned to each Livery cab during the hours when the shootings took place. Perhaps, this will curb the violence.

What you do you think? Anyone have any ideas?
