Ex-City Buildings Inspector Sells Fake OSHA Safety Certificates

It was reported today by NY Daily News that an ex-city buildings inspector sold fake OSHA safety certificates.

According to the article a former city buildings inspector was busted Friday for selling fake safety training certificates required to work on high-rises.

I wonder if this happened to many high-rise buildings. Are these high-rise buildings actually safe? This is a matter of concern.
