I would be most partial to Thornwood, but only because I used to have family in the area and I loved their neighborhood. It just seems very nice and low-key, especially since that part of Westchester is very densely populated. The schools are excellent and they have great recreation programs. However, I think all of Mount Pleasant is really nice; any of those towns would be great for families.
