Summer madness

Sometimes I think the summer heat addles my brain and makes me do stupid things. Yesterday a friend who is visiting the city from Australia decided to come over and visit us. We ordered lunch in from a local Asian spot but soon ran out of chilled beer..so I dumped a couple of bottles in the freezer just to speed things up. Soon after lunch we all decided to go for a walk and spent the rest of the day out and about.. When we got home at around 10pm I finally remembered the beer bottles in the freezer and ran into the kitchen to get them out. It was just in the nick of time as one of the bottles of frozen beer had begun to ooze and was about to explode...I have had that happen to me before and the clean up after is just awful...so I thanked my lucky stars that I had remembered to take the bottles out after all.. needless to add I had to throw all the beer away but have any of you had some mad summer moments as well?
