Independent Theater in NYC

A topic close to my heart, these venues for theater and performance art are showing the hottest young artists around, and can be considered the important focal points for New York's independent and experimental theater scene. This is anything but Broadway. Now you have no excuse not to support New York's artists by going to a show.

I have been to performances at the Public Theater and just this afternoon came across a 2 for 1 ticket deal for a slew of off Broadway shows on sale at http://www.nycgo.com/onthehouse/?pid=oth_hp

Cool. Theater for the New City are definitely on the list for good guys doing good things, though likely to be less experimental and more traditional in their offerings.
