Madison Square isn't, technically, a neighborhood. It's a park surrounded by Flatiron, Gramercy and midtown. So, depending on what side of the park you're on, it resembles those neighborhoods. For the most part, it's big buildings and a lot of commercial space. The restaurants and nice and the park is lovely. But, it's definitely a hustle and bustle neighborhood. It's much like Flatiron and the eastern part of Chelsea.
