Are there any museums/educational facilities for day outings with children in or around Lewisboro?

My daughter loves the Hammond Museum and Japanese Stroll Garden. They have a scavenger hunt for kids and if they finish there's a little prize at the end. It's good for kids 6-7 and up, or a little younger if you help them. We also like the Katonah Museum of Art. They have a special room just for kids and I know there are programs on the weekend, we went to one not too long ago. It's a neat little museum.

There are many great options in the Lewsiboro area:
Katonah Museum of Art, Katonah
Trailside Nature Museum, Lewsiboro
John Jay Homestead, Katonah
Hammond Museum & Japanese Stroll Garden, North Salem
You can choose any of these depending on the age group of the kids and the weather that day!

The contemporary Aldrich Museum & historic Keeler Tavern both in Ridgefield right near the South Salem, NY line offer many interesting programs for families & children. The Aldrich has a great First Friday evening program too.
Many folks in South Salem & Lewisboro utilize Ridgefield, CT as another town center option. Through the beautiful back woods it is 10 mins by car from Lewisboro Elementary School, for an example.
