Is Lawton St, Antioch and the surrounding area safe?

Safe is always a relative term. But I would say, no.

Here is why. In the last six months there have been 5 homicides nearby (just past L Street to the west.)
Within that neighborhood, from 18th to the 4 and L to A, there have also been about 50 assaults in the last six months and about the same number of robberies and break-ins.

Oh yeah, and there is also a sex offender who lives right there on Lawton.

So safer than the worst parts of Oakland, but not anywhere I would want to live. Check it out for yourself here:
