What is the Jordan neighborhood like now?

The last comment regarding the Jordan neighborhood was made in 2011. What is the neighborhood like now? I live in Portland, Oregon and am considering moving to Minneapolis, as the home prices here are out of reach for me. My range is 175 to 235K. While looking up available homes in Trulia, I was surprised to see street views of Jordan neighborhood streets (Oliver Street in particulars) where there were so many houses with boarded up windows. I am looking to buy an older home and do not mind living in a diverse area. I would appreciate any suggestions or info.
