Is there enough to do in Hyde Park for a young couple?

I think it's very nice, but more for visiting. I'd say it was best for families with children because there's a lot geared to them. However, the schools aren't as good as other districts in Dutchess, like Red Hook.

Honestly, I really liked Hyde Park when I visited, but my fiance and I decided against the area because of the lack of things to do. There are some minor tourist attractions, but they're more for older tourists in my opinion.

As far as nightlife or places to go out in general, there are a few places. It's definitely not NYC, and it's not even Poughkeepsie where you have most everything right there in town, but there are a couple things to do in Hyde Park. There's an indoor movie theater called the Roosevelt; I'm not sure if the drive-in is still open, but I remember it well. There are also a few nice restaurants in town to which you can take your partner, or even a place to get a drink.
I suppose there's just enough to do for a young couple, but Hyde Park isn't very alive at night. There are nearby towns with more options, and the good news is they're not much of a drive away.

You and your loved one will love the Old Rhinebeck Bed and Breakfast, where you'll stay in rooms dating back to 1745 with all the taste and atmosphere of the times. You can get a great message at Smooth Touch, or grab a coffee at Starbucks for lively, yet romantic conversation.
