The 170-acre Ridge Road Park is a local fave of mine and has some really nice heavily wooded walking trails, picnic areas and playing fields including Miracle Field which has been customized to suit the needs of physically and mentially disabled adults and children. The park is also very popular with local dog owners who let their dogs play while they chat away happily. I used to go there to throw around a frisbee and found it to have a good, relaxed vibe most of the time. Directly across the street is Hart's Brook Nature Preserve which is a great destination for bird-watching.
