How is the neighborhood, schools, safeness ?

Like any large city, Yonkers has all types of neighborhoods, from the luxurious to those less well endowed. Grandview Boulevard is in a neighborhood called Colonial Heights, which is a lovely neighborhood, filled with Colonials, Tudors, Ranches, Cape Cods, virtually every style home you can imagine. It is close to Central Avenue which has great shopping, a variety of restaurants, and all the services that you would expect to find. I feel very comfortable walking around Colonial Heights, but you should judge for yourseslf. I always advise clients who are considering moving into an area that they are not familiar with to spend time in the neighborhood, walk around, speak with neighbors, and definitely visit the schools. A meeting with the principal of your child's school and a tour of the facilities and some classrooms will give you a sense of whether the school will be a good fit for your child.
