In the more than 30 years my family has lived in Garrison, we have enjoyed a vast array of activities that have drawn us closer together. Hiking on the Appalachian Trail off Route 403 is always fun, although I need some help to get up the steep climb to the top of SugarLoaf to the breathtaking view of the Hudson River. We also enjoyed going to the Desmond Fish Library, where they have children's programs, adult lectures and plenty of books, videos, books on tapes etc. We would follow up with an ice cream at the Garrison waterfront to take in a breeze, through some rocks in the water, maybe watch a show at the Depot Theater.
