What kind of community-oriented activities does Fort Collins provide its residents?

I'm used to growing up in small towns, where community is everything. What usually draws me to new cities is the sense of community, so I was wondering what kinds of things Fort Collins does to bring the city together? Charities or food drives, festivals, etc?

Kristin, many different activities, including: The Lagoon Series, free music on Wednesday evenings in the Summer, at CSU; Additional free music on Thursday nights at Civic Center Park in Old Town, again, in the Summer. There are a myriad of festivals in Old Town all summer long, including New West Fest, the Rocky Mountain irish Festival, the Nelson's Auto Tech Car Show, and many more.

Let's see, there's all sorts of food/wine events throughout the year, including the Wine Festival in February in the Hilton, benefitting adults with disabilities (sorry, I forgot the name at this point, but will find out).

I'm sure there's much more that others will answer. If I think of any more, I'll repost, as well. Cheers!
