Ay yi yi. That's a tall order. Ok,
1. Trinity Church and Cemetery. 1st church in NY. The original was built in the 17th century. The cemetery holds John Jacob Astor and Alexander Hamilton. The grounds are stunning
2. South Street Seaport. Cute bars and restaurants along a seaport with an old timey feel
3. Fraunces Tavern. Was a bar then and is a bar and museum now. It was where George Washington gave his big Revolutionary War speech
4. Century 21 -- very popular shopping spot for a lot of my gal pals
5. Watch the stock exchange open
6. South Street Seaport summer outdoor concert series is always fantastic
7. Watch other tourists try to look into the 9/11 hole only to find that you can't see anything and judge them for wanting to look at it anyway
8. take a ferry to Brooklyn for dinner
9. If you're into architecture, there is a great mixture of magnificent skyscrapers and 18th century landmarks nestled up next to each other on just about every street
I can only come up with 9, but Fidi isn't known for it's funtime offerings. The history in this area is phenomenal, though. It was the first part of New York City. Wall Street is called that because it used to be an actual wall to protect people from the Indians.
