Formerly the Elmsford Animal Shelter, it is now called Pets Alive Westchester, located at 100 Warehouse Lane So, in Elmsford. http://www.petsalivewest.org, this is a no-kill animal shelter dedicated to provide sanctuary for dogs, cats, or rabbits. Many of these animals are older in age or require special needs or require particular care. Nearby is the SPCA of Westchester located at 590 No. State Road in Briarcliff Manor. http://www.spca914.org, which is also a no-kill shelter. At either agency, pets range in price from $50 (rabbits) to $100+ (cats/kittens) to up to $350 (for dogs/puppies).
