I've mostly spent time in Colorado Springs during the spring and summer. What do you usually do during the winter time?

If it's a bright night (full moon) you can walk around the Garden of the Gods. The light from the moon will illuminate the snow and makes for a very pretty walk. The park stays open until around 9pm in the winter. You can also go snowshoeing at many of the parks but I'd recommend Palmer Park near downtown as there are already a lot of trails. The Pikes Peak Cog Railway is now open year round and takes just over three hours for a round trip. The views are spectacular and pristine. I would highly recommend this for visitors to Colorado and natives as well.
