On the east end of Main Street you’ll find Hecksher Park. This area is designed with great stroller-friendly trails going around beautiful gardens and a large pond filled with fish and ducks. There is an excellent playground here with toddler swings and other facilities great for children.

Within the park boundaries you’ll find Hecksher Art Museum and the Chapin Rainbow Stage, which often have events and programs for children.Cross Main Street from here and you'll be at the Huntington YMCA, which offers programs and classes for children and toddlers that you're looking to keep active.

For other parks in the area, check out Cold Spring Harbor State Park and Caumsett State Park.
