Neighborhoods

Clayton has a variety of neighborhoods to suit different style preferences and budgets. Oakhurst is the newest of the developments, situated on a hill with duets at the bottom of the hill and the houses gradually becoming more grand the further up you go. These homes are a newer Mediterranean style and tend to be smaller parcels of land than other Clayton neighborhoods. This neighborhood contains some of Clayton's largest residences, and does seem to be a bit more transient perhaps due to corporate families on the move every few years. Many of the Oakhurst homes have beautiful views of the hills.

Dana Hills is situated on the opposite side of Marsh Creek Rd. (the main drag) and is located in between the elementary school and the middle school, making it easy walking distance to either. This neighborhood was constructed largely in the mid-late 1970's but offers an extremely well maintained community with many mature trees and open greenbelt areas giving Dana Hills a park like environment. The residents pay quarterly homeowner's association dues of 125.00 per quarter to enjoy the pristine 25 meter swimming pool and clubhouse facilities. The vast greenbelt areas are also well maintained through the association. The homes in Dana Hills vary between small 3 bedroom to large 5 bedroom models some with highly sought after cul de sac/court locations. Some homes are right next to the many trails leading to various hiking, biking ,and horseback riding adventures right in one's backyard.
