Yeah, Chinatown is very safe overall, and you shouldn't have any problems with crime. Police presence is pretty heavy in the area due to it being a tourist attraction.

I agree that crime is Chinatown is not a big issue. Most of the crimes are petty misdemeanors. Some areas around the highway should be avoided though - especially at night.

There isn't a huge problem with crime in Chinatown. It's mostly theft, assault and vandalism - you'll find that pretty much anywhere.
