Central Park takes up a lot of Manhattan and the neighborhoods change quite drastically around it. I'm guessing you're referring to the Upper East and Upper West Side right on the park? That's some of the most coveted real estate in the city. If you want to be within a block of the park, it's gonna cost a minimum of $3500 / month for a 1 bedroom. The higher up you go, however, the less expensive it will be. If you're up in the '90's, you're much likelier to get a better deal. . . . though, it'll still be expensive to live on the actual park.
