Best lodging in Carroll Gardens?

There are no hotels in Carroll Gardens, but there are a number of B+B's.

Additionally, there's a Comfort Inn about a quarter mile away (but far from public transportation) and several hotels about half a mile away a bit east of Carroll Gardens (in the industrial Gowanus neighborhood)-- the Holiday Inn Express Brooklyn Downtown, the Super 8 Brooklyn / Park Slope, the Fairfield Inn New York Brooklyn.

For nicer hotels, I'd recommend the Sheraton Brooklyn or the Aloft in Brooklyn, which are both about a mile away, and only two stops away on the F line.
