What should I do with my month in Boston?

I was planning on spending a month in Boston (January.) I'd like something serious and planned to occupy my time. Some type of temp job? Internship? Volunteer work? Ask people if I can shovel the snow on their driveway? Any specific ideas/examples/votes/links welcome!

Boston is loaded with art and culture not to mention the medical and technological fields. Volunteering in any of the top hospitals in Boston would be a fabulous experience. The top educational institutions are in Boston, just go and visit their libraries or their sport centers. Downtown Boston explodes with shopping and nightlife as well as sightseeing. Your month in Boston will be action packed...stay longer, you'll need it!
