There is a 5 acre plot of land for $5,000 for sale in Blanca, how is it to buy land there?

How are outsiders who are purchasing a small plot of the open sage land treated by locals? Do a lot of people own land around Blanca who just come to visit/camp every once in while?

My guess would be if you're buying land that isn't marked as residential no one would care, versus if you bought land in an area where people were planning on building a home or homes were already being built. I can't see many people caring though, it's not a really populated area. Also, if Blanca is where you're really interested in take a look at this: http://www.trulia.com/property/3068568380-13905-24th-St-Blanca-CO-81123 It's a bit cheaper than what you've mentioned, although I can't vouch for what it actually looks like since the pictures show a variety of scenes (i.e. the town, a lake, a mountain, etc.). Maybe they are lacking a little truth in advertising....be wary and I don't suggest buying sight unseen. :)
