Are there times in the year when Black Hawk is not over ridden with tourists?

What is it like year round to live there?

We have a friend who is in charge of security for one of the bigger casinos up there and said that it's pretty dead Monday through Thursday late at night and into the morning.

This is just an educated guess, but because the winters can be harsher, I would guess the tourists would avoid Black Hawk during the colder months. I have friends who travel up that way to gamble occasionally, but they rarely go during the winter. Casinos seem to be more attractive during the summer. :P

HeatherS Makes sense, I was stuck up there for Christmas Eve with friends years back and it was pretty dead. I have a boyfriend that lived near there and was too into gambling if you know what I mean. The place is kind of seedy and zombie-like
