Centennial K-8 school is located within the borders of Berkeley and is a mixed bag. It's a nice looking, well kept school right off of Raleigh Street. It has repeatedly gotten low scores on state testing standards, but on all of the public forums the parents rave about the school and teachers. Berkeley is still a changing area (for the better) so I would think over time the scores will show improvement as with the neighborhood itself.

Within the Berkeley neighborhood there are a lot of private schools, mostly Catholic like Arrupe Jesuit and Holy Family, but the public high school for this area is North High School which has traditionally scored low on state testing standards.
