First Days of Spring. Plans?

It looks like warm(er) weather is upon us!! What are you all doing, now that it's okay to step outside and wander around?

I went to the little flea market on 7th Ave in Park Slope today, and wandered around the area. It was so nice seeing so many people out and about, and not all wrapped up against the cold, either.

(Maybe it's too early to start celebrating the warm weather? But 50 degrees feels so good, I can't help it. And, I got into my car today and the little temperature gauge told me it was 80 degrees in there. That hasn't happened in quite some time!)

My sister's having a party at her apartment just to celebrate Spring! All Spring themed cocktails and light food. It's not for two weeks and I'm already excited. Such a good idea.

I spent the day in Red Hook yesterday, had lunch by the water, and bought a great fetish object as a present at a place called Botanica el Phoenix (224 Columbia St. at Union Street). I also got fresh key lime pie by the water front and in the evening had a beer at Sonny's (http://www.sunnysredhook.com/). What a great day! It officially felt like spring and there's nothing like actually feeling the sun on you for a couple of hours. It's been a long time since I've hung out in Red Hook, and had a great time actually having an outing anywhere. Spring is HERE.

@DBlack I drove by that place the other day, too! That's so random. And I've been craving key lime pie ever since I ordered that Miami cookbook that my mailman seems to have stolen, months ago....

Warm weather does bring people out. The good and the bad.

I'm spending the first spring days in my apartment, moping about the rain. This had better lead to some damn good cherry blossoms later in the spring, is all I'm saying.

@BroadwayBK I bought the medium-sized key lime pie and half of it is still in my refrigerator. That stuff is potent! You won't think so when you see the small key lime pies, but the small size is more than enough for two portions. I'm totally key lime pie'd out.

Well if you want to pass some up this way, I'm willing to take it in. Where exactly did you get this key lime pie?
