Favorite section at the Met?

I like the Greek and Roman art, and a close second is the African Art. There are a couple of sculptures in each section I could visit again and again.

Upstairs is a long hallway dedicated to drawings by European masters. I would say that's my favorite. I like the European paintings too, but I guess I really am a sucker for drawings.

I love the furniture collections - especially the 18th century French ones and the American One! When I was a kid I used to pretend to be a little princess... I also love the Temple of Dendur, the Astor Courtyard, and the paintings on the mezzanine

I like the pre-Columbian artifacts from South America. For some reason I've always been interested in the indigenous peoples of the area: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Pre-Columbian_art_in_the_Metropolitan_Museum_of_Art

I'm a big fan of the Dutch / Flemish oils section. They're so dark and beautiful. Something kinda morbid about them. I saw the Bacon exhibit when it was there: that was pretty sweet.

I've always been partial to the Greek and Roman art, as well - something about how they celebrate the human body in sculpture that I really love.

The renovated Classical wing (since late 2008, I believe) is really something - quite striking and beautiful! I forgot to mention that I love the Medieval books/codexes. I once had 15 minutes before closing to meet my boyfriend in the Met, and no cell reception (so I had no idea where he was), and wandered swiftly and aimlessly, before using my Girlfriend Mojo to guess that he might be there...so I'm particularly proud of my experience with that section!

I'm also partial to the Asian room and garden upstairs...
