Bank St, West Village

Bank is one of the prettiest streets in the West Village: there is so much green on this street which is such a rarity for Manhattan. It's one of the most desirable streets to live on -- beautiful 19th century brownstones and townhouses -- but, that also makes it one of the most expensive streets. It's serene and quaint and actually quiet!
Historically, being that the West Village was for many years, the bohemian / artist place to live, there are a lot of cool landmarks on Bank worth noting. The corner of Bank and West is the Westbeth building. It was converted into an artists' colony and it's the place where Diane Arbus killed herself.
63 Bank Street is the apartment Sid Vicious lived and died in (of a heroin overdose in 79).
The famous acting school HB Studio is on Bank street.
And, the Waverly Inn is at the corner of Waverly and Bank. It's one of my favorite restaurants in the city; it is just impossibly cool, dark and old timey. The patio is lovely during the spring as well.
There isn't a ton to do on Bank -- it is overwhelmingly residential. But, it's so charming and beautiful it is definitely worth a leisurely stroll.

Bank Street is a quiet residential street which is located in New York City’s iconic Greenwich Village. This typical West Village Street which runs from West Street to Hudson Street and continues on to West 8th street is lined with expensive prewar co-op apartment buildings and historic townhouses many of which are populated by celebrities and other A–listers. At the junction Bank Street and Hudson Street is a small children’s playground which is popular with the residents of the area.
Being primarily a residential street, Bank Street has few commercial establishments like the excellent Thai restaurant, ‘Toons’ which is located on the corner of Bank Street and Bleecker Street and the highly overrated but extremely fashionable Waverley Inn. Luckily for the residents of Bank Street ,the many delights of Bleecker Street like the restaurants Café Angelique, the August Restaurant, the world famous Magnolia bakery and upscale stores like the Marc Jacobs store, the Ralph Lauren store, Intermix and Reiss are located right at their doorstep as Bank Street is also intersected by Bleecker Street.
Bank Street is well connected to the rest of the city as it is located just a few blocks away from two subway stations, one of which is located at 8th Avenue and 14th Street (which hosts the A, C, E and L trains) and the other which is located in party district of Christopher Street and Sheridan Square( host of the no.1 train).

Bank St is a cobblestone street in the West Village. It runs from the Hudson River to Greenwich Ave. It is a beautiful and quite residential area. Its western side is, according to me, the most beautiful. It is close to the pedestrian path on the Hudson River. Its eastern side is surrounded by the boutiques and shops of Bleecker St. I would definitely live there. Bank St is in a great area and well connected to public transportation.

Bank Street has good living accommodations and the streets around it have great nightlife. Hudson Street is always worth a visit for a good time and a nice dining experience. Bank Street Theatre offers off-Broadway performances that are quirky and interesting but at a reduced price.

Bank Street is a nice street to live on as it's close to everything and walking to the local stores and bar scene is not out of the question. A few restaurants can be found along the way but nothing of serious note, in my opinion. Most people who live in the area do so because of how close it is to Greenwich and Hudson Streets. It's pretty far removed from the wild and fun bar scene around Christopher, which can be a bit of a drag for people who are looking to be involved in it. It does offer a bit more quiet than the areas closer to the scene which is nice for those looking for a bit of quiet and solitude after a long day.

Bank Street was very pretty and filled with quirky charm that is the Village. I enjoyed the neighborhood, though you hsvr o mskr "bank: to live on Bank, in my opinion. The nicer places seemed to have been markedly moe expensive. For a communal dining experience, try the Paris Commune. From what I hear, it's delicious!

Bank Street is close to the following metro stations: A, C, E, L at 8th and 14th Street, 1,2,3 at 14th Street. It is also accessible to many buses. Foot traffic is light, and it is a good neighborhood for all people!
