La Playa Street is a small 5 block street (2 blocks in the Richmond, 3 block in the Sunset). In the Richmond side of La Playa Street, there is a Burger King, Safeway, several stores, and an elderly home complex. What makes La Playa Street so busy is because of the Safeway and also because the 18 Muni bus runs through La Playa Street. Not only that, there is a Muni rest stop where several buses stop there for a break (including the 5, 31, 31AX, 38). In the Sunset side of La Playa Street there are just houses. At the cross section between Judah Street, there is a small coffee shop and also the rest station for the Muni N train. What makes La Playa Street so wonderful is the breeze from the beach and the easy 2 block walk to get to the beach.
