Stow Lake Dr, Golden Gate Park

Stow Lake Drive is a very small street that loops around the western and southern end of Stow Lake in San Francisco’s famous Golden Gate Park. With Stow Lake East Drive, it makes a perfect loop around Stow Lake. The lake itself is one of Golden Gate Park’s most famous attractions. It brings hundreds of joggers and runners every day. In addition, there are many things you can do on Stow Lake such as rent paddle boats and just relax and enjoy the California sun next to the lake. Although, the lake is definitely not one of the best looking as the lake is relatively green and may be considered disgusting, it still brings a lot of fun and memories. Parking on Stow Lake Drive is good, but may be packed on hot summer days in the city.

Stow Lake is a great lake to take you family, friend, or date. Stow Lake Drive wraps around the west side of the lake, leading into West Stow lake drive, which finishes the circle around Stow Lake, and John F. Kennedy drive. In the center of Stow Lake is Strawberry hill which is a beautiful hill which you can walk around and view different plants and birds. Along Stow Lake Drive, there is parking which is located close to the boathouse where you can rent paddle or row boats. Feeding the birds on Stow Lake was one of my favorite childhood memories. This is a one way street which makes it barely noticeable when trying to enjoy the nature of Stow Lake. This street is unlivable however I recommend it to anyone that wants to get out one day and do something new.

This is one of the most beautiful drives in all of golden gate park. This drive winds in a circle around strawberry hill and stow lake. There are so many trees lining the drive that it looks like you are in a magical forest. You get a majestic view of the lake as well.
