La Playa runs from Kirkham Street all the way to Sutro Heights Park. It is a very small street which is the absolute closest street to the beach besides the great highway. This street is split by the famous Golden Gate Park, but continues on in the Richmond. If you like beach front living, this is one of the best streets you could live on. However there are mainly compacted higher rising apartments on this street. There is a cafe located on Judah and La Playa which stays open late. The best thing about this street is that it is right on the beach and you can go running or just lounge there anytime. You also get the fresh breeze 24 hours a day. Living here is expensive, even for a small one room apartment.
