"Loop Around the City"

Interstate 410 is the loop that goes around the outer part of San Antonio. This is a great bypass for those who do not want to drive directly through the city or those who don't have business in downtown. The road can get very congested especially if there is an accident. The road is in decent condition but there seems to always be construction going on.

"Small, Short Street"

First Street in San Antonio is just a small and very short street that goes from Jessup Road to Hood Street. All it is, is a connector road between the two. The road itself is a little rough but drivable. This area of San Antonio is very rural. There are many residences and the streets are kept fairly clean.

"Small side street"

Second Street is part of a more residential/rural area than most of San Antonio. It was a nice road to take a ride down to see more rural parts of the area. The road was a little bumpy but there was no traffic. It is really a nice, peaceful place to go take a ride.

"Road that is very congested."

West Avenue takes you from North to South through San Antonio. There are many things off this road including residential and business. I didn't like driving it though because it is congested. There are so many roads that come into it that traffic is really stop and go. With all the side streets you really have to be careful about people pulling out in front of you!

"Road with lots of things to do!"

This is a great road! It is a four lane that will take you to many places within San Antonio. My favorite though is a great pizza shop called Big Lou's. It really looks like a hole in the wall restaurant but they have the best pizza ever! The traffic can get heavy but usually is fairly decent.

"Just your typical interstate"

I-10 coming into San Antonio on the west side merges with 35. This is really the average interstate that needs work improving the pot holes and bumps but yet there seems to be construction going on all the time. The traffic gets really bad where it merges and can be horrific at rush hour. Overall this is the usual interstate that you will find anywhere.

"Great road and a must see!"

Roosevelt Avenue is a great road that is in good shape. The traffic can be congested at times but not too unbearable. The main attraction here is the historical museum. You can go and spend the day and learn all the history where these original missions took place. This is a great place to go if you love history because that is what the museum is all about.

"Peaceful Place with Beautiful Cathedral"

While visiting San Antonio I drove West Main Plaza to go visit the beautiful San Fernando Cathedral. There is so much history behind the cathedral that it is absolutely amazing. The water fall outside is great but the most amazing thing is the interior. The intricate details within the cathedral will literally blow you away. The road is in good shape and the yard work is stunning.

"Such a Beautiful Place"

This is such a beautiful place. Not only are the roads beautiful and WELL maintained but the hotel and golf course are spectacular. I stayed at the Hyatt while on vacation in San Antonio and had the pleasure of spending the day on the Hyatt Country golf course. If you love golf, you definitely to visit here. The playing fees are more expensive than usual but it is well worth the money!

"Great Place to Take the Kids!"

Sea World Drive is where the famous Sea World San Antonio is located. The street is in great shape but the traffic is horrific because there are so many visitors. This place is not your typical vacation spot but it is so cool because not only do you get to see all the animals but they have a GREAT roller coaster and water slide. This is a great place to go for the day with the kids!!!

"Your typical travel road"

East Commerce Street begins when you exit of I-10 and travels all the way through San Antonio to the west side where it runs into Military Road. I used this road a lot while visiting because it takes you right through the city and you can use it to access a lot of San Antonio. The road itself is in decent shape but could use a little maintenance on bumps and pot holes.

I drove Atlantic Avenue to go visit the Christopher Columbus Park. The road is a little confusing if you have never driven it before because it turns off to the right and is really confusing. "Typical Bypass Road"

The Massachusetts Turnpike is a great road to use to go around the south side of Boston. This is a great route to use to avoid going through downtown Boston. There are usually construction crews doing work on the highway which can cause traffic to back-up but the busiest time is during the rush hours. Overall, just use this to go around Boston from east to west.

Anyone that has a chance to go visit the temple needs to take advantage of the opportunity. There is so much history behind this building that it is amazing. "A Very Small City"

McCaysville, Georgia is a very small city in Fannin County, Georgia. There is not a whole lot to do there. You can board the train in Blue Ridge, which is a city in the same county, and ride it to McCaysville. They will let you out for a couple of hours and then you return. While in McCaysville, you can walk around to all the antique stores and small shops. There are not many restaurants but some include Subway, Japanese, Chinese, pizza, Mexican, and other fast food restaurants. There is great fishing right outside of the city limits on the beautiful Toccoa River which is just minutes away from rafting on the Ocoee River.

downtownK
downtownK mountainmom, the Dallas Grand Hotel on Commerce is only a great place to stay if you're too drunk to stay at the shelter. It has been abandoned for six years and is an eyesore in need of re-development (although, if that ever happens, I'm sure it would be a groovy place). I wouldn't recommend it as an attraction, though.

A little bit to the west, though, Commerce does have Neiman Marcus and other stores, and is close to a lot of restaurants and to the DART station.

There are lots of mountains and trails for sight-seers. This is a great place to take beautiful pictures of the wonderful outdoors. Great place to visit in the Fall when the leaves are changing colors.

"Great place for the park lover"

This road takes you to Tammen Park. During the different seasons there are soccer and/or softball games there. The park is right along the river so there is also fishing, rafting, tubing, canoeing. This is a great place for those who love the outdoors. It is about three miles outside of town so there is quick access to many other things like places to eat, stores, hospital, gyms, and lots more. Wonderful place that I recommend if you want to get out for the day and enjoy nature.

"Great place to live for families and retirees."

This is the entrance to a great neighborhood, Riverwood Subdivision. It is a very quiet yet friendly place and all the neighbors get along and are wonderful. There are sidewalks throughout for those who enjoy walking. The neighborhood is only a couple of miles from downtown Blue Ridge where there is a lot of things, such as shopping (lots of antiques), eating, court house, parks, arts and crafts, and lots of other businesses. I would recommend this for the person that likes the quiet at home but also loves to get out to walk around and visit stores. Overall it is a wonderful place.

"Nice quiet place, farmer friendly"

This is in a farmers town where most residents have cattle, sheep, goat, etc. It has beautiful views of the mountains and great people. Everyone is friendly and welcomes the out-of-towners. There is not much to do here. This a place for people to go sight-seeing and enjoy the surrounding nature. There is a little country store/gas station but that is the only place. I recommend this for families with kids who like to enjoy nature and couples and retirees. Great place to go to take pictures.

"Great place to go for lots of action!"

Dallas Highway used to be a great place to live but is now a great place to go for the shopping. This area has built up alot in the past few years. It has gone from a quiet place to live to a place with lots of load traffic and businesses. There are lots of stores, including Target and Tuesday Morning, and many places to eat, from fast-food to steak houses. It is a place to go visit and shop but I would not recommend living on Dallas Highway due to the noise and traffic, which to me is not a safe place.

"Great place but very secluded"

This is a great area of Fannin County to live and visit but is very secluded. It is not for someone who wants to shop or go out. Things to do around here would be hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. All the neighbors are super friendly and welcome everyone. It is a great place to go to for relaxing. There is minimal cell phone service and no stores (other than a little country store) around. It is about 30-40 minutes away from downtown Blue Ridge so be prepared. I love to go here when I am stressed and needing quiet time to myself.

"Great place to Live!"

I live have lived on Laurelwood Lane in Blue Ridge for three years and if I ever have to move I will be devastated. This is in a neighborhood that is very quiet and peaceful. All the neighbors are super friendly and get along well with each other. It is within two miles of downtown so you have access to everything including schools, health facilities, gyms, stores, resteraunts, and many other things. It is a wonderful place to live for families, couples, retirees, and singles.

"It is your normal Highway"

Highway 515 North in Blue Ridge is really your typical highway. There are lots of things to do and places to see but the traffic is bad. You can access many hotels, resteraunts, and stores from the highway. There are many resteraunts including Zaxby's, Circle J Steak House, McDonalds, Arbys, The Cabin Grille, and The Cast Iron Skillet. Stores on this street include Roses, Goodys, Dollar General, Family Dollar, CVS, and many more. Blue Ridge is a great place to live but this is your average highway.

"Great place to live and visit!"

I have always loved Blue Ridge Drive because it starts in downtown and ends at the Tennessee state line. There are many things to do along there and many of my favorite places in Blue Ridge. I love Merciers Orchards which not only has the apple orchard but has a deli, ice cream shop, and store. On the Tennessee end there are several wonderful restaraunts including chinese, japanese, and home cooking. Also on that end is a great "Hillbilly Mall" which is really an indoor flee market. Its an all around great place to be and go.
