NYC: Which street is better for a young couple?
I have moved to NYC from a different continent (Asia) and need inputs on the areas I have shortlisted for a house. Please note that my husband is mostly out for work so the inputs I seek are from a safety persctive for women in the area. The first apartment is on 88 E and Lex, it is a walk up and does not have ameneties like live-in-super and laundry (is that a big deal?). The other apartment is on Manhattan Avenue and the building is loaded with all ameneties and is lovely. However I am told that the area is not as lively and perceived to be unsafe. Which one would you pick out of the two for a young couple?
