"Nice neighborhood"
Highlawn Avenue is a nice short street in the Gravesend neighborhood of Brooklyn. Good mix of decent houses and interesting stores. Some relatives lived on the street, and while street parking was sometimes tough to come by, it’s a nice little neighborhood to live in. Convenient to N and F lines at Kings Highway.
"On Highlawn Avenue"
I think that this street has a lot to offer, with several small businesses and things of interest. It is a lively street and there is a lot to do. This neighborhood is great, and I really think it should be considered on a move to the city. Brooklyn is probably your best bet for cheaper rent, though as its popularity rises, I think it will slowly become harder to find discounted rents! So, look early!
In this neighborhood, the F train runs along McDonald Avenue, with stops conveniently located at McDonald Avenue and Kings Highway and the N train at West 7th Avenue and Kings Highway, as well as at Avenue U and West 8th Avenue, not to mention the F train again at McDonald Avenue and Avenue U, keeping this neighborhood very easily accessible.
