Bates St, Downtown

I remebered Bates street because we were driving off Cadillac Square and I loved the plaza that was between Bates and Cadillac Square. I stopped and had the chance to take some pictures of it. The archieture in this area is amazing. Bates pretty much just runs between a few businesses in high rise buildings. I didn't seem like it had much else there beyond the buildings and teh parking lots but my friend who was a resident advised me that alot of people walk through this area not just for the plaza or the businesses that are around the area but also because it's one of the historical areas of Detroit. The funny part was, when I asked her to give me a brief sample of history for that area, she wasn't able to.
