48th avenue is a great street to live on. It runs right along the beach through both the sunset and Richmond districts. Housing styles range slightly within the neighborhoods. Apartments, houses and condos are all available. The most exciting aspect about being on this street is definitely the fact that Ocean Beach is so close. This street is the most westward street you can possible live on. This street also crosses big streets with bus lines that can take you almost anywhere, like Judah, Lincoln, Clement, California, Geary and more. 48th avenue is a straight shot all the way down, excluding the detour to get through Golden Gate Park which you will need to get onto the Great Highway to cross that.
