46th avenue is a great street to live on. It runs close to the beach through both the sunset and Richmond districts. Housing styles range slightly within the neighborhoods. Apartments, houses and condos are all available. The most exciting aspect about being on this street is definitely the fact that Ocean Beach is so close. This street is a typical numbered avenue; the houses and neighborhood’s attitude are basically the same in whatever area you are in. This street also crosses big streets with bus lines that can take you almost anywhere, like Judah, Lincoln, Clement, California, Geary, Taraval and more. 46th avenue is a straight shot all the way down, excluding the detour to get through Golden Gate Park which you will need to get onto the Great Highway or 41st avenue to cross the park. 46th avenue also takes you down to the entrance of the San Francisco Zoo.
