W. 261st Street normally goes from Broadway to River Rd. However the street is undergoing construction at the corner of Palisade Avenue and West 261st Street. There are barricades there.
Other than this little dump, the street is not all that bad. It turns into a typical suburban neighborhood.

This street is really just a thoroughfare and there isn’t much to offer in the way of food or things to do. Perhaps you’d just enjoy the quiet simplicity, though I think this is a little too far for commuting to work each day.
