Check out these places:
Lincoln Park - Lake Michigan (Oak St & La Salle Beaches) - AMC Theater building on Illinois St also has nice, though a little pricy, place to eat, watch games, bowl, or play pool - Division and State has a dozen of Bars and Clubs (wild on weekends) - Michigan Ave - Marina City - Navy Pier (has IMAX Theater) - Old town (nice & old area for walking and good restaurants) - Original Pancake House and surrounding area great for brunches and fine eating - If you walk around You will surely find something to do/eat.

The Near North Side is a very fun area, with a lot of a cool activities, though my favorites have to be checking out Navy Pier (kissed a girl at the top of the ferris wheel once, it was pretty cool), and visiting the Chicago History Museum. I got a Groupon for that and like checking it out on occasion.

There is so much to do here. You can ride the Ferris Wheel on Navy Pier Park, spend a ton of money on all of the great food and shopping, or take a tour of the historic roads of Old Town.
