"Four Short But Nice Looking Blocks"

Much of E. 217th Street is a one-way street, so you will have to get to it from Gun Hill Road and come down. This way you can actually reach that section of E. 217th Street. It isn't too bad an area . Some sections are better looking but at least you get to see greenery, which is always a plus.

I don't recall seeing any schools, except for the Regent School on E. 213th St. However, since there is a school one block over, why not bring your kids and move on one of four blocks that make up East 217th St.
Pros
  • Not too bad looking in sections
  • Some areas have a lot of greenery
Cons
  • One-way street so it is hard to get to

"East 217th Street"

East 217th Street is a simple street. The most remarkable part about the street was its accessibility and the buses available. I think that this is an awesome location for a small family or young couple. Its cleanliness and nice people were definitely a hallmark of the neighborhood and I think that this is a great place to live if you’re considering the Bronx as a place to live!

"East 217th Street"

You won’t find much in the way of food or entertainment on this South Bronx street, though there are a lot of small businesses here. It is a very well trafficked street, and though it might not be the most interesting street in the South Bronx, it is very residential and the people here seemed to be very comfortable with the pace. It is still an extremely urban area, so you’re not crossing into the burbs, but it is not as trendy or fabulous as some places downtown.
