Is there a really good spot to gaze at the stars in Boulder?

A location away from the city lights?

We enjoy up on Mt Sanitas, If you don't mind a little drive, take sunshine canyon up to a few miles before Gold Hill is a pretty spectacular. Also, a few miles west of Gold Hill near the Switzerland Trail is pretty spectacular as well.

Any time you can drive up Flagstaff, or basically just keep going up Baseline, you can get away from the lights relatively quickly. Also, go to the Fiske Planetarium at CU! Check out their website and see when the next time they're viewing the stars will be.
