"Noisy"
Beach Boulevard is the major road that connects Huntington Beach to the 405. As a result, it is constantly full of cars. And it seems every single light is timed differently so it takes FOREVER to make it up Beach. And you say you want to get from the 405 to the beach during the summer down Beach Boulevard? Forget about it- that thing is a parking lot! There are side streets you can detour down, but, what do you do if you live on Beach Boulevard?
As you get closer to the beach, there are some nice condos and apartment complexes. However, unless you are lucky enough to live in a complex with an area that is set off of Beach Boulevard, there is constant traffic noise. Even at three in the morning, traffic is zooming up and down Beach Boulevard and a lot of the drivers have their windows down and music blaring.
Beach Boulevard is pretty safe, but, the further away you get from PCH and the beach, the shadier it gets. There are abandoned and outdated buildings from Talbert on, although some of those are being torn down and newer places built. I wouldn't be afraid to walk down Beach Boulevard at night by myself, but, I definitely would be very vigilant.

"The street i lived off "
Living off and on Newport Beach Blvd was fun.We were close to shopping, theaters and bus lines to go anywhere you wanted to.Grocery stores were close and the people were great most of them. The cost of living there at that time was not to bad and the street nose was not to bad at night as you could not really hear much when inside your home.
Living there had it's moments but other than that it was a good place to have families and allot of parks and close access to the beach and boardwalk down in Newport.
