"Great tourist area"
This is a great street for tourists to visit because of all the local shops and the cafes. They have amazing cuisine on this street plus you can get some great choices for a dessert. I would recommend this spot for people of all ages especially since it is close to a metro.

"A Suburb Area in Brooklyn"
You can find a lot of Asians from China, Japan and etc. around Avenue U. The avenue U is a suburb area of Brooklyn and it is quite quiet and clean compared with other neighbors. What I have to mention also is that there is a big opticians store on this avenue which is pretty much famous and basically you can find any kind of glasses that you would like to have with a good price that you can afford. The service is good as well. And for the last years, there are some Russian immigrants moving into this neighbor and make it more various and interesting. Anyway, it is quite good for a living.

"Lots to Do!"
After we left Coney Island, we drove to Joe's of Avenue U and had the best spaghetti! It was to die for! The street was packed with people out walking to many destinations to eat. There were many restaurants that looked great and a few bars were swarming with people. I would recommend going for a few great meals & fun shopping!

"Lots To Eat"
There are some great restaraunts in this part of Brooklyn, along with what is renown as the best Italian food restaunt in the city:
La Villa Pizzeria & Restaurant, 6610 Avenue U (key food plaza), Brooklyn, NY
Go here for some great food and fun, and stick around the avenue to find some great shopping and dessert options. Brooklyn is really the up and coming burrough for those looking for something a little more real than the sometimes over saturated haunts on Manhattan.
This street is close to the following metro: F at Avenue U. The foot traffic was heavy and I recommend the street to just about anyone!

"Asian Culture meets South Brooklyn"
Avenue U is the place to go if your looking for some Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, or Japanese food without traveling too far out of South Brooklyn. Lined with stores on either side, Avenue U has great fish markets as well. It may seem a little dirty at times and the fish smell can get to you in the summer, but nothing compared to China Town. I have always loved eating at any of the Asian restaurants on Avenue U because the food is authentic and you don't have to go far to get it.
