"Very Noisy and Unappealing"

Spring Branch West is conveniently located just North of Interstate 10, South of Hwy 290, and just West of Loop 610. The Sam Houston Tollroad runs almost through the middle of this section of Spring Branch, which makes it a quite noisy and less residential area than Spring Branch Central & East. This highly populated Hispanic area provides an easy commute to most regions in North, West, and Central Houston. Main streets traveled in the area include Brittmoore, Long Point Road, and Witte. Since the Spring Branch area offers convenient access to so many nearby freeways, there are many options for dining, entertainment, and recreation. A quick trip to I-10 will take you to the newly renovated Memorial City Mall, home to all the famous shops, and you will find restaurants such as The Taste of Texas and Papadeaux’s.

Real estate in the Spring Branch West area ranges drastically, so much depends on the actual street you visit. You can find new construction as well as very dated single family homes and apartments to parcels of land and commercial buildings. This section of Spring Branch is home to many tin buildings, warehouses, and commercial strip centers. You can find various strip center thrift shops and corner stores as well as fast food joints, taco stands, and cafes, but you won’t see many upscale restaurants – for that you will have to travel a few miles to I-10 or 290. Spring Branch Medical Center is located in close proximity, and a few miles further you will find Memorial Hermann Hospital @ Memorial City. While the public school system in this area is not the best rated, there are many upscale private preschools and grade schools for your child to attend.
