The only place I would be a little hesitant to rent in the West Vill is right on Washington. There's a lot of traffic and it's kind of a hooligan spot at night. But, even at that, I would still live on it if I found a decent deal. The West Village is one of the best neighborhoods in Downtown Manhattan. It's gorgeous, expensive and quite safe.
