"Nice Shopping Area - Bad In Some Areas"

Fordham is very known in the Bronx for its large shopping area. It includes large brand stores along with some mom and pop stores as well. The area during the day is good to shop but getting from point to another is a hassle do to the large amount of traffic and people walking the streets. There is also a lot of high school students int eh area due to the location of Roosevelt High School. The 9 BX, 12 BX, 22 BX, 41 BX, and the 55 BX pass by Fordham which makes is easy to get there using public transportation. The 4, D, and B trains stop at Fordham. The D and B train leave you on Grand Concourse and Fordham which is near Staples and PC Richard & Sons. The 4 Train leave you on Jerome Avenue which is near Sammy's, Modell's and Monroe College. On Jerome Avenue and Fordham you can also access the 32 BX bus as well. Overall i consider a Fordham a wonderful shopping center and a nice area. The only thing that brings Fordham Road negative marks is the large mod rate and fights that start in the middle of the streets which happens in the late nights but other then that Its a great area to be during the day.

"Mega Shopping Area in the Bronx"

East Fordham Road in the is one of many show cases in the Bronx. They have many stores to shop for any and everything that you may need. Stores that include, clothing, Jewelry, and appliances. It is a very busy area. The downside to this area is that it is very hard to find parking. The weekends are the busiest days on Fordham Road, lots of people walking and shopping. There are many fast food resteraunts on this busy strip. If you are a person that doesn't like crowds that this is not the place for you.

"Great Shopping- Very Crowded"

Fordham Road is a true shopping experience for anyone looking for a bargain. The outdoor experience situated in the Bronx offers a variety of stores; although Dr. Jay's and Akademiks are among the popular urban clothing locations. Some stores are willing to bargain with customers so it's always worth a shot. Fordham Road can be accessed by a number of buses and Metro North also services the area; heading both back into Westchester County and down into Manhattan. Metro North only offers a few Manhattan Stops on both the Hudson and Harlem line with the most popular being Grand Central Terminal.
