"Chicago's Gateway"

I think this is my favorite part of Chicago-- it's scenic drive is one that attracts tourists, and newcomers to live in this city. This is the quickest way to go if looking to travel from the South Shore of Chicago to the Chicago Loop. Also a quick way to head to the Northside. On this street you'll find walking trails, and will be able to enjoy the views of the skyline, museums, and Lake Michigan. From here it's just blocks to these attractions, all within walking distance of one another. The only downside? The speed limit!! A speedlimit of 40 really makes for pretty bad traffic!

"Filled with Attractions"

Lakeshore Drive, as the name suggests, runs right along the lake and offers a really amazing view. All along the strip are amazing attractions that tourists and city-dwellers alike should check out. Soldier field and Grant Park are two major attractions as is the Field Museum. For those looking to plunk down some serious change on a condo or luxury apartment the Lakeshore Drive area offers some great attractions along with a nice neighborhood vibe. It runs all the way along the city and loops around some of the most beloved areas of Chicago.

"Alongside Chicago's Lake Michicgan"

Lake Shore drive is one of the most used streets in the city, South east side and North eastside, right off of the lake. Its runs along way through the city. The south side is mostly Apts and condos, they are very nice buildings and expensive living of course. There is also an outer drive on lake shore, an alternate for one of the many express ways. Most of the time, its alot of traffic. The north side of Lake Shore also consist of apts/condo's along with some great restaurants! Living off of lake shore gets you a great view of the city! Its very quiet off the lake, some use the bike and walk trail for workout!

"Oak Street Beach, an oasis in the city"

Oak Street Beach is a bustling gathering place right on Lakeshore Drive and Lake Michigan. One of my all-time favorite beaches, where you may actually catch a pro-volleyball tournament in the summer. The sand is white and the water is cool, and this stretch of Lakeshore Drive is where it's at in Chicago. You can walk down to Shedd's Aquarium, rollerblade along the sidewalk, or catch some sun on the beach.

"South Lake Shore Fun"

South Lake Shore Drive is one of the best streets for family fun. Families, singles, and couples can enjoy the John G Shedd Aquarium which is a big place filled with all kinds of sea creatures to see. The Shedd Aquarium is on 1200 S Lake Shore Dr. in Chicago along with other places for everyone to enjoy such as the Adler Planetarium on 1300 S Lake Shore Drive and The Field Museum on 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive.
