Does the South Chicago neighborhood in Chicago have alot of crime compared to the rest of Chicago?

South Chicago has more crime than I'd like, but it isn't the most residential area, so few of the people who come here every day really have to deal with it since I think they just come to work, and not live.

South Chicago does have some crime, which is to be expected in the city, but not too much. It is a quiet, largely industrial area, which has seen some growth in recent years but it has yet to live up to its full potential.
