"A Single Woman's Dream!"
I loved living in my sweet little studio, a few steps down the hill from Washington Park, and even fewer steps above the one of the most charming shopping areas on the West Coast. During my tenure on 23rd, I ate Philly Cheesesteaks at Tributes and real steaks at the Ringside steakhouse. I bought many pairs of shoes at surprisingly inexpensive boutiques that kept my feet lookin' snazzy as I walked the twinkle-lighted, tree-lined sidewalks in search of the coldest gelato or the warmest tea.

"Like a small town inside Portland."
NW 23rd with it's local coffee shops, restaurants, and trendy shoping reminds me of a small town, even though it is just NW of the heart of downtown. From here you can walk to the downtown Water Front Park in less then a half hour. The feeling of this area I can only describe as Local Trendy Chic. Parking can be difficult with only curb side parking spaces but there is much to see as you walk the sidewalks of this neighborhood.

"Also known as NW Trendy-3rd"
If you're into little boutiques and shopping then make sure you check it out. There are also some excellent restaurants on the street. The main district runs from Burnside at the South end to Lovejoy at the North end. Parking is about as difficult as any place in Portland and would make living there kind of a pain.

"It's pretty good"
Nice area. Great familys. The best place to visit here is Alotto Gelato. The Gelato made here is the best I have ever had in my life. The flavors are natural, unique, and DELISH!.Flavors to try are the yellow cake with frosting, cantaloupe, cinnamon, espresso and about 30 others. This is top of the line in texture and kids just love it. Also there is a Movie theatre here with an arcade.
